PLANO: Zenith-Level Performance, Zero Worries

ZENITH-LEVEL PERFORMANCE, ZERO WORRIES

PLANO’S ZIPPERLESS, WEATHER-ENDURABLE Z-SERIES TACKLE BAGS,
TACKLE BACKPACK AND WRAP GET A BOLD NEW LOOK

Plano, IL (July 25, 2017) – Salt, sun and spray can send lesser tackle bags to an early grave. How? By attacking their vulnerable zippers and rendering them useless. That’s why Plano engineers eliminated these weak links in their trouble-free weather-defying Z-Series Soft Tackle Bags, Tackle Backpack and Tackle Wrap, which debuted to the universal delight of anglers at ICAST in 2016. These no-fuss zipper-free Z-Series tackle storage designs have quickly become recognized for their exceptional weather-resistance, infallible reliability and overall efficiency.

For 2018, Plano’s proven Z-Series 3600 and 3700 Tackle Bags, Tackle Backpack and Wrap feature the same great performance, but with brand new aesthetics that reflect their premium functionality. The angler-favorite Z-Series now features sizzling Kryptek Raid camouflage with striking blue accents. You can look for a better-performing – or better-looking – line of zipperless tackle storage options, but you won’t find either.

Plano Z-Series Tackle Bags

Plano’s 3600- and 3700-size Z-Series Tackle Bags feature a gusseted top and large flap that opens fast and closes neatly and securely with strong HDPE buckles. These high capacity bags house five included StowAway Utility Boxes inside their generous main compartments. Outside, an extremely durable Thermoplastic Elastomer (TPE) waterproof fabric defies the elements, while a Kryptek Raid finish with blue trim catches the eye. Reliable Velcro closures secure the generous side pockets, as well as large front and rear mesh slip storage pockets as well as MOLLE webbing for attaching additional accessories.

Both the 3600- and 3700-size Z-Series Tackle Bags employ Plano’s highly functional, one-of-a-kind Utili-Tackle Rail System Base. This innovative, waterproof design uses raised corners and over-molded rubber feet to prevent sliding on any surface while elevating the bag and its contents above wet boat decks and patches of standing water. The integral Utili-Tackle Rail features multiple tie-down points to secure the bag in transit or during rough conditions, while also allowing for fast attachment of up to 17 different fishing tools or accessories.

Plano Z-Series Tackle Backpack

Perfect for kayak anglers, expedition anglers, or anyone who needs to transport tackle while keeping their hands free, Plano’s Z-Series Tackle Backpack is the ultimate technical angling pack – a standout offering in the weather-resistant line of advanced, zipperless Z-Series tackle storage designs.

Featuring the same high-performance Thermoplastic Elastomer (TPE) waterproof fabric in striking Kryptek Raid with blue trim worn by other new Z-Series products, the Z-Series Tackle Backpack also utilizes easy opening HDPE buckles and reliable Velcro to secure flaps, pockets and mesh slip pockets.

A healthy main compartment is accessed through the bag’s top, and provides capacity for up to four included 3700-size StowAway tackle boxes. A speedy cinch-cord provides initial closure, while a large flap secured by buckles and Velcro tightly covers the opening to prevent moisture intrusion.

The front of the Z-Series Tackle Backpack features an additional lower flap that opens to access a tool holder and drop-down, see-through, wrap-style pocket that’s perfect for housing hot baits, keys, smartphones or other angling essentials. Three additional large pockets are found on the bag’s exterior – one on each side, and a third beneath the front flap – featuring buckle and Velcro closures. These pockets provide secure storage for reels, line spools, sunglasses or other items.

A dream to wear, the Z-Series Tackle Backpack features comfortable and fully adjustable shoulder straps and padded lumbar support. One strap features a readily accessible tool holder, while the other sports a handy mesh slip pocket.

Plano Z-Series Wrap

The Plano Z-Series Wrap offers zipper-free weather-proof, portable tackle storage that hangs or lays flat for speedy access to pre-tied terminal rigs, attractors, spoons, jigs, flies or other low-profile tackle items inside six individual clear pockets. Salmon and walleye trollers simply won’t find a better storage option for dodger/fly combos and bottom-bouncers. Likewise, fly anglers will be smitten with the wealth of practical space for lines, shooting heads, leaders, tippet spools or fly tying materials. Saltwater anglers? The applications are endless.

Constructed with high-performance TPE-coated waterproof fabric finished in stealthy Kryptek Raid with striking blue trim, the Z-Series Wrap unrolls to reveal six generous slip pockets. These 6” x 14.75” clear pockets afford quick and easy identification of tackle items stored inside. The backside of each pocket features heavy-duty mesh to allow for air circulation and drainage – a feature much appreciated by saltwater anglers needing to rinse rigs at the end of day.

The super versatile Z-Series Wrap features a full-length Velcro closure that keeps the wrap secure when rolled, while a sturdy carry handle and a pair of HDPE D-rings make the wrap easy to carry or hang in both rolled and unrolled configurations.

PLANO FISHING

A tradition of excellence. Owning a Plano® tackle box has become a heritage that has endured for more than half a century. In 1952, Plano introduced the first molded plastic tackle box. Over the next 65 years, the Plano brand has found its way into the hearts and hands of four generations. Today, there’s a four in five chance that if you own a tackle box, it was made by Plano. There are many reasons consumers faithfully choose Plano, including quality, durability and innovation, but our favorite is, “It’s what my dad always used.”
